Electis 75WG mode of Action
Electis 75 WG is a unique combination of two highly effective fungicides, zoxium and mancozeb.
Electis 75WG is an essential component of any anti-resistance management programme and one that can be used in an integrated way with new or more traditional blight fungicides.
Protection against tuber blight can be achieved by killing zoospores after production or by preventing their production in the first place. Electis has a specific point of attack against zoospores development. Its use resulting in the production of non-motile spores, incapable of infection.
Other fungicides such as cyazofamid will kill zoospores once released and so the alternation of Electis with such complimentary products in a programme will provide a “belt and braces” approach and give excellent protection against tuber blight.
Electis is best used from the start of tuber initiation, once the canopy starts to meet in the row, providing blight is not already present in the crop. Continuous protection is needed for effective tuber blight control.
